From solo performers to an entire show of Argentine Tango, Gaucho and Salsa!
The show is the only one of its kind, taking audiences on a journey through time. With a multitude of genres ranging from: the sizzling Afro-Cuban rhythms of the Salsa, the sensuous Tango, and the explosive Gauchos along with a detailed background display, elaborate props, eye-catching costumes, and a variety of dance numbers that will keep your audience on the edge of their seats.
This theater show is a special event featuring world renowned international artists in a full display of music, color, energy, rhythm and passion.
We are thrilled to present our unique Latin show and to be part of cultural enrichments and a new kind of entertainment. Everywhere the show is presented the result is a full house with a standing ovation.
The show is also designed to be presented in universities and colleges, as well as to school outreach programs with a combination of performance and lecture about the dance pieces and their history.
Show Description
A full two-hour theatre production with a 15 to 20 minutes intermission can be arranged. The show includes elaborate props, eye-catching costumes, special effects, variety of dance numbers including audience participation and comedy that will keep your audience on the edge of their seats.
10 performers + 1 technical rider
Act I: We lure the audience back in time to the origins of tango in the seedy bars of 1920's Buenos Aires, where the outcasts of society struggle with love, betrayal, joy and conflict.
Then to the streets and nightclubs of 1950's Caribbean, to experience the vibrant celebration of love and life that is salsa. The final destination bringing them to the Argentine countryside of the late 1800s, where the gauchos sing and dance amidst danger and conflict.
Act II : The second act shows the audience the contemporary interpretations of the dances with superb lighting and special effects.
Requirements
The contractor should provide air fare or cost of traveling, accommodation and hospitality for the company. The Company will provide a stage manager (tech rider) to supervise all the aspects of the show. The contractor will provide all the necessary technicians required by the theater/location. (Sound and light technicians, stage hands)
The dance company will travel with the necessary props (drums, costumes, etc) within normal airline baggage limits.

Stage and dressing rooms:
The presenter will provide a resilient dancing floor made out of wood (or a material comparable to), leveled and free from any obstructions. The minimum measurements for the dancing surface are 26wide and 20deep. Quick-changes areas are needed stage left and right if dressing rooms are far away, changes areas must be equipped with lights, table and mirror. Steamer or iron will be required close to the dressing rooms areas.
There should be a minimum of 3 dressing rooms
Audio:
Professional sound console with sufficient inputs for mic's and CD source.
4 PZM floor mics for footwork and stage sound.
2 wireless acoustical guitar microphones
2 wireless hand held microphone
3 wired mics with stand for drums
ClearCom or equivalent intercom for follow spot, stage manger, light, and sound techs.
2 stage monitors for dancers and musicians
1 sound technician.
Personnel:
Minimum of 2 stage hands to help move the sceneries during the show & unload and load trailer
Lighting/Props:
1 hazer machine
Sufficient lighting to dramatically light each act individually (typically >100 dimmer channels)
2 110V Edison plug on stage for practical controllable by lighting console.
Front Curtain and 2 mid-stage curtains.
2 follow spots with operators
1 light tech to operate lighting cues per act
Projector, if available
Source four Leko for 4 gobos lights size B
3 small tables and 7 chairs for bar scene.
Hospitality:
Any and all hospitality is appreciated. The company specially enjoys hot coffee and tea with sugar and milk, water, soft drinks and juices, catering, fruits and local favorites placed in the green rooms or near the dressing rooms.
Tec Requirements for a big show in a hotel
Stage and dressing rooms:
The presenter will provide a resilient dancing floor made out of wood (or a material comparable to), leveled and free from any obstructions. The minimum measurements for the dancing surface are 26wide and 20deep.
We will need sides black drapes to go over the entrance to the stage into an air wall that opens to another ballroom or to a quick changes area behind the stage
Note: We must need quick changing area next to the stage if dressing rooms are too far away equipped with lights, mirror and clothes hungers.
Please be sure not to place the stage under a ballroom crystal lamp since we need space to do lifts and the Boleadoras.
