The splendor of Indigenous Mexico flourishes in the artistry of these Aztecas. This traditional and professional performing group with origins in Mexico City has developed with the blessings and recognition of the traditional elders in Mexico. This ensemble offers the ancient traditions of their ancestors through music, dance, regalia, and storytelling.
This group has been based in Southern California for over 20 years. With members from all surrounding counties, Xipe Totec Danzantes Aztecas is comprised of families and individuals, ranging in age, from the very young, to our respected elders. In this manner, the tradicion is preserved and carried through the generations.
Their typical show consists of either 3-4 dancers for 15 minutes or 5-8 dancers for 30 minutes. Custom shows are also available.
