This all-stringed Mariachi specializes in audience engagement and has shared the stage with the best Mariachis in the world.  They have participated in various international Mariachi and Music Festivals and are a crowd favorite.

Founded and directed by one of the trumpet players in 1999, the all-female Mariachi are continuously making big waves on the Los Angeles music scene. In 2009, the group won the American Grammy award for Regional Mexican Album for their latest CD. The Mariachi band is a unique, multi-cultural ensemble representing the true flavor of Los Angeles, and over the years has been represented by women of: Mexican, Cuban, Samoan, Argentinian, Columbian, Panamanian, Puerto Rican, Swiss, Japanese, Honduran, Peruvian, and Anglo decent. Cindy Shea states, "Music is a way of uniting our cultural backgrounds."

 

The Mariachi band has been featured at the Arrowhead Pond, Universal Amphitheatre, Staples Center, Greek Theater, Santa Barbara Bowl, the LA Forum for the 2005 “Premio La Gente” Live TV Awards Show and the LA Shrine at the 2006 Alma Awards. They have also accompanied Grammy winning artists such as: Joan Sebastian, Jenny Rivera, Marco Antonio Solis, Pablo Montero, Graciela Beltran and Paulina Rubio. From 2001-2008 the Mariachi band have showcased their innovative sounds at the NAMM SHOW in Anaheim, CA. They have performed at the Tucson International Mariachi Concert, Lac Cruces Mariachi Conference, Fresno Radio Bilingue Mariachi Show and the Santa Barbara Bowl.

 

The Mariachi band performed, and were featured as one of the main televised acts, for over 500,000 people on the streets of downtown Los Angeles at the largest "Cinco de Mayo" celebration in the world-The 14th and 15th Annual Fiesta Broadway 2003 and 2004. They have appeared at fairs throughout the United States including the L.A. and Orange County Fair numerous times. They have performed dozens of shows with the world renowned Mariachi Vargas. The Mariachi band have not only traveled throughout the USA including performances in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming, but also performed in Tampico, Mexico in 2004. The Mariachi band has performed several times at the John Anson Ford Theater even producing their own shows. The Mariachi band appeared in the mariachi documentary "Viva El Mariachi". The Mariachi band also had the honor of performing at the inaugerations of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa and California State Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Since then the Mariachi band have performed for several prestigious city and state events including a performance in Sacramento February 2008 for a lunch with California State Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and the President of Mexico. The Mariachi band also had the honor of performing for Sen. Hillary Clinton in February 2008 as she invited the Mariachi band to her Los Angles Rally as part of the entertainment where the Mariachi band performed live on C-SPAN.

 

The Mariachi band have made several television appearances on shows such as: Despierta America, Control, Vista LA, Primer Impacto, Escandalo, LATV's "Adelante Hispanos", Sabado Gigante, Off the Roof, De Todo Un Poco, BBQ with Bobby Flay, Primera Edicion, Atrevete, Futbol Mania, 12 Corazones, Bienvenido a Casa, C-SPAN, and recently took roles as actors as they took part in two independent films, "Dead Man's Shoe" and "La Dentista" where the music from their CD was used as the movies' soundtrack. The Mariachi band are also proud to announce the National release of their 4 CD’s through "Shea Records" and “East Side Records”. The Mariachi band just released their 4th CD "Canciones de Amor" which they will continue to promote.

In September 2003, the Mariachi band began performing and continue to perform every week for audiences of all ages while strolling throughout the streets of Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim as their official mariachi of Disney in Anaheim.

The Mariachi band musicians’ are currently endorsed by LP Percussion, Zeta Music, IntellitouchTuners, Soundback Acoustic Monitors, CodaBow International, Marcinkiewicz, Bella Strings, and LPD Music.
