Latin American Band

This seven member band has entertained and performed at many functions for the past 50 years and captivated diverse audiences throughout the state of California. The success of the band can be attributed to its versatility, exceptional talent and the harmony of it's members.

The band is an exclusive band that has its own style. The repertoire consists of music from all eras that everyone can dance to and appreciate. The band attracts large crowds and has a fan base of people who enjoy dancing to the music rhythms of Latin, Big Band, Swing, Oldies, Rock & Roll, Country, and Pop/Rock.

The band consists of their leader (Bass Guitar), Sax/flute/vocals, Keyboard, Guitar/vocals, Trumpet/congas/vocals, Drums and acclaimed female vocalist.

The band entertains mostly throughout Southern California at city park concerts, community events, family celebrations, festivals, and civic organization events. Chico is also invited to perform at casinos such as The Tropicana, Laughlin, San Manuel, Highland, Harrah’s and Pala, North San Diego Co. Chico is also known for hosting their ever-popular three-day cruises to Ensenada.

They have received recognition for their work with charitable organizations such as The American Red Cross and The March of Dimes. Past performances include the City of Long Beach, Brea, Walnut, L.A. Unified Public Schools, L.A. County Fair, Hispanic Women’s Council, Loyola Marymount University, USC Alumni Association, Latin Businessmen’s Association, former L.A. Mayor Riordan’s Birthday Party, Chicano Music Awards, Cacique Cheese Co., and the L.A. County Hispanic Managers’ Association.

They have performed with Edward James Olmos, Vicky Carr, Jose Feliciano, Tony Lindsay from Santana, Pat Vegas from Redbone and actor Andy Garcia. Chico composed and performed the music for the romantic melodrama Luminarias (released in 2000). They have also released five CDs.

The band's mission is to perform a versatile blend of music for all audiences, be a role model for young musicians, and to continue to be an enduring presence in the Latin R&B genre.
